monthly favourites
As if we are half way through 2016! The year is well and truly flying but I couldn't be enjoying it more. Now I want to apologise for not doing a monthly favourites since January which seems like ages ago, I just haven't been as on the ball with my blogging but for the next 6 months I'll be here each months filling you in on my faves.
This lipstick by Seventeen has been out for a while now but I recently picked up the Stay Pout Lipstick in 'Its a Kiss Off'. I love this shade its so subtle and the tones are so gentle, its such a staple colour for day and night which is why I've been using it like crazy this past month!
Body scrubs from The Body Shop are my absolute favourites, if I could I would buy every single one in the store but sadly my bank balance wouldn't let me also it would be just a tad weird. Anyway, this body scrub is from the British Rose Collection and its such a gorgeous scent, I was going crazy in the store I ended up buying the body scrub and the body butter, not that I needed either but I couldn't say no.
This Boots Botanic Hydrating Day Cream is the only moisturiser I have used for about 3 months now (yes I know its day cream but I use it at night aswell, sue me). I think this cream truly is the definition of 'a little goes a long way' because the smallest amount covers so much and it lasts you forever. As someone who doesn't sleep that much this cream is such a life saver it brightens and softens the skin which is what I need out of a moisturiser.
Thats all for my favourites this month but I will posting alot for in the next coming months, hopefully more outfit posts as England has finally got some nice weather!
Love, Heather x
So the first month of 2016 is over but it has been an amazing month and a brilliant start to the year, what a better way to celebrate than sharing my favourites with all your beauties! I haven't done a favourites post since last June, I don't know how that happened I really slacked on the blogging front last year but not to worry 2016 will be filled with lots of posts.
I have been all over fragrances this month, I received a fair few for Christmas but my favourite scent has to be Heat by Beyonce. I am a sucker for celebrity perfumes, I have owned pretty much every one under the sun and the Beyonce perfumes are to die for.
I haven't splurged much on beauty this month but I did pick up the Rimmel Wonder'full Mascara which I found to be the perfect mascara. Its very subtle and healthy for the lashes, I have always been a big Benefit mascara user but Rimmel mascaras never fail to impress me and the selection is endless!
January was pretty much a month of me loving Soap and Glory, I mean I love Soap and Glory at the best of times but because I got so much of it for Christmas and then proceeded to buy some of it in the sale my love is at an all time high. The Heel Genius by Soap and Glory has been a must use for me this month, as someone who gets dry heels this has been a saviour and I would never have thought about buying it myself it juts so happened to be in a gift set I received.
I think I may have mentioned this specific TV show here on Magazines and Dreams in the past but I have spent my whole Christmas holidays re-watching Gossip Girl because its just the best TV show going, it never fails to impress me I could watch it endlessly. Side note: UK Netflix is getting rid of it in February so watch as much of it as you can before it goes. *sobs*
If you want to listen to what music I have been listening to this month listen to my Spotify playlists here. That is it for this months favourites! Hope you all had a great start to this year and the rest of the year is bright for you.
Lots of love, Heather x
So its June?! How did this happen? This year has completely flown by but so far this year has been amazing! I have been putting blogging on the back burner these past few months but I do want to take blogging to the next step, so to speak. I bought myself a domain and got myself a new snazzy blog theme which I adore so you will be hearing a lot from me in June, hopefully a few more OOTD posts, if summer would actually reach England. Anyway, heres what I have been loving in May.
I've really been experimenting with eye make-up this month and for Christmas I received a Bare Minerals eyeshadow in 'Glimpse' which I have been using like crazy, it gives a great base for other colours or you can just wear it by itself to add something a little extra to your look. I also got the Real Techniques Starter set which has helped me along the way.
Okay this is an old favourite for me but I thought I had lost this so naturally since I've found it I haven't let it go out of my sight. This Nivea Lip Butter in 'Raspberry Rose' is perfect, the whole range of Nivea lip butter's is to be honest but this is my personal favourite because of the smell, taste and the pretty packaging.
Currently writing a full post for this product but The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser is the only moisturiser I have used for the past 2 weeks, I got it on a whim because as always The Body Shop had an amazing deal on so I treated myself and let me tell you my skin has really benefited from this.
Not the first time this Kardashian Beauty Honey Stick has had a mention on my blog but this month I have been using it like crazy, I am a huge fan of Kardashian Beauty which is only natural from my love for the family and this lip gloss is gorgeous.
A new favourite for me, I discovered Broad City this month and I fell in love. The show is brilliant, its so funny and unapologetic, I binged watched it in about 2 days and the only complaint I have about this show is why aren't there more episodes?! Give it a watch, I feel it might not be everyone's cup of tea but I urge you all to give it a go!
That wraps my favourites for this month! I look forward to the next half of 2015.
Love,
Heather x

So April wasn't exactly the best month for me blogging-wise but I had an amazing month. It was quite hectic but I enjoyed it! I have my April favourites for you all today and I will post alot more in May as I don't have much planned for the month right now. Enjoy my loves.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in 'Light Beige' / LINK
This is pretty much the only foundation I have worn for the whole month of April and the majority of March. I had heard great things about this foundation so I bought it in March and my skin loves it. This shade fits my skin perfectly, it hasn't caused me to breakout or made my skin dry or oily. I do think this foundation is worth the hype it has.
Sabe Masson Solid Perfume in 'Copacabana' / LINK
I only got this a few weeks ago but I honestly haven't put it down, its been great on the go because it doesn't fill the air with odours and it is good on the skin. This also smells heavenly and it gives a very subtle fragrance which I love.
My Little Beauty Lips & Cheeks / LINK
This is another gem I received in one of My Little Boxes. This is a cheek and lip stain, it is the same applicator as a chubby stick which I am obsessed with. It doesn't have a shade name but as you can see from above, it is quite a corally pink. It can be quite drying on the lips but if you have some lip balm underneath it looks gorgeous.
Seventeen Gel Colour in 'Mocha-tini' / LINK
This nail polish is gorgeous. I think I may have mentioned it in my favourite before? I'm not too sure but I love the whole gel colour range from Seventeen because they are really affordable and look gorgeous. I love nude nails anyway but this is my favourite brand for them so I urge you to check them out!
Book: How to be Parisian wherever you are / LINK
I have been lusting after this book for a while and I finally bought it. It is an amazing book, it is humorous, insightful and clever. I pretty much read most of it in 3 days because I just couldn't but it down, it is perfect if you love the Parisian look and lifestyle.
Blogger: cocochicblog / LINK
During April I discovered a ton of new bloggers so I spent a hell of a lot of time reading blogs and I feel in love with cocochicblog. It is a wonderful fashion, beauty & lifestyle blog with blog tips, workout tips and personal posts. Go hive her a follow here.
That is the end of my April favourites! Hope you all have a great May, what were you April favourites?
love,
First post of February! I can't believe I haven't blogged all week, its gone so fast and I am sorry for not posting, I have been so busy with life. I have taken a ton of blog photos and today here are my monthly favourites!
Cheryl Storm Flower Perfume / LINK
I picked up a set of the Storm Flower shower gel, body lotion and the perfume because honestly this perfume smells like heaven. I smelt this when it first came out and I fell in love, I got the set for £15 from Superdrug when the January sales were on and I haven't stopped using it since, also the bottle is to die for.
Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara / LINK
I got this for Christmas off my mum and I love it! I am planning on doing a full post on this beauty which I have taken the photos for but this is the only mascara I have used this month because it does the job!
Kate Moss Rimmel London Matte Lipstick in 101 'Soft Pink' / LINK
This is the first Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick I have ever owned and I have been missing out! I am not a massive lipstick person in general because I don't think it suits me but this colour is very subtle and it didn't dry out my lips. Although it did snap on me a few weeks after I bought it but I have put it back in and it seems to be working.
Talika Photo-Hydra Day / LINK
I received this in My Little Energy Box in mid-January and its honestly one of the best moisturizers I have ever owned. I don't know what I'm going to do when it runs out! It is super hydrating and refreshing to your skin, it is designed for your skin in the morning before you leave the house and my skin loves it!
Love Tanya Book
I admit I didn't pick this up until about the 30th January so it was basically February when I got it but it is such a good book. As you all know its by Tanya Burr who is a fabulous youtuber/blogger and this book has all the essentials for make-up and skincare along with little snippets of her life which are adorable, go grab a copy!
I was going to add a music favourite but I have just been shuffling through some playlist, to see them check out my Spotify (here). What have been your January favourites?
Hello loves, cannot believe November is in 2 days! I'm loving the autumn weather and this is definitely my favourite part of the year, I'm so excited for the next few months. Anyway, I have my October favourites today as I have done hardly any shopping this month, my favourites are smaller than usual but never the less, enjoy. :)
Clinique Chubby Stick in 'Maga Melon' / LINK
I have been lusting after the chubby sticks from Clinique for a few months now and never got around to buying one but I finally got my hands on this one in 'Maga Melon' which is a gorgeous shade, I am not at all disappointed with these as Clinique are such a good brand I definitely had high expectations. I realize I am late on the bandwagon with these but if you have never used one, you need to!

Maybelliene Baby Lips in 'Mango Pie' / LINK
Baby Lip's are widely known and this is definitely not the first one I have used, I think I pretty much own them all now except the neon ones but this month I have been using this one like crazy. Mango is one of my favourite scents and I love Baby Lips so this was perfect for me. It is also super moisturising which is essential in this weather, not the mention you can get these for just a £1!
Topshop Nails in 'Buttermilk' / LINK
I did a post on this nail polish just last week and it has definitely been my favourite nail polish this month and one of my favourites all time. It is such a lovely shade and lasts so long, Topshop nail polishes are one of my favourites anyway but I hadn't bought one for a while so when I bought this, I was reminded just how good these nail polishes are.
The Body Shop Mandarin & Tangelo Body, Room & Linen Spray / LINK
I got this for my birthday back in August off my friend Amy and at first I was abit unsure because orange isn't my favourite scent so I didn't use it for a while but I started using it and it has grown on me so much, its so refreshing and although you can smell in orange, its not overpowering. I still prefer the Pomegranate & Raspberry one though.
Music: Taylor Swift 1989
I am a massive Taylor Swift fan and have been for so long now so I was beyond excited for her new album 1989 and it was so much better than I ever imagined it could be. its seriously flawless. Go give it a listen, sadly it is not on Spotify. :(
So there are my October favourites, what are your October favourites?
Hello everyone! I have had some serious blogger block lately, this is the first time I've sat down and wrote a blog post for about 10 days which feels like forever, I am here with my September favourites! I hope to blog alot more in October than I did in September, other things just got in the way and I didn't blog half as much as I wanted to so I hope October is a successful month for me blogging wise, despite my monthly favourites being 5 days late. Anyway, lets begin.
The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Mist / LINK
I am fairly certain I have mentioned vineyard peach on my blog before, I think I may of mentioned the vineyard peach shower gel in a previous monthly favourites. Anyway, this month I have been loving this body spray which I received for my birthday off one of my lovely friends. I had previously used this and I loved it but I have used it more than ever through September.
Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator / LINK
I got this in my August Birchbox and I didn't think much off at first as I rarely change cleansers because once I find one I like I am hesitant to change but this is such a lovely cleanser. It is tiny but you only need the smallest amount and you are supposed to use it 3 - 5 times a week so when you think about it, it will last you ages. I still have some left and its been well over a month!
Essence Lipstick in #7 'Natural Beauty / LINK
I got this in my August Glossybox and when I first used it I thought it was good but once I started using it alot I realised this is amazing! I am absolutely loving this lipstick, it is a gorgeous shade and lasts so long. Not to mention it is very hydrating which is what you need for the winter months coming.
Benefit Lollibalm / LINK
I bought this with some of my birthday money and it was definitely a risk I thought because £14.50 is alot to splurge on a lip balm but I don't regret it at all. This lip balm is so hydrating which is what I need as my lips have been dried out recently, it also adds a very subtle shade of pink across your lips which is lovely. I definitely have the Benebalm on my list after being so impressed with the Lollibalm.
That concludes my monthly favourites! I haven't included a TV Show as I haven't been watching anything new recently but I am overjoyed that The Vampire Diaries has returned! What are your monthly favourites?

August has been the best month for me blogging wise, I have done so many posts and gained a few followers and I am enjoying blogging more than ever at the moment. Sadly this month I start college and hopefully get a job so summer is officially coming to end, this means my posts will most likely be less frequent but I hope to blog just as much as last month and I already have a few posts written that I can post in the coming week. But for now this is my August favourites!
Soap and Glory Mist You Madly Spray / LINK
I mentioned this is my Soap and Glory haul but I just had to add this to my monthly favourites because I have been using this like crazy, I would say this was my most used spray throughout August and I have been opting for this over my usual perfume. For a body spray, the scent is so long lasting, the bottle is gorgeous and it is reasonably cheap for what it is.
Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in 'Red Island' / LINK
This was an impulse buy as lip crayons are something I have never really used so I saw this in Superdrug and I thought I would give it a go as I don't own alot of red in my lip collection, I have been using this alot. The colour is gorgeous and it is super long lasting, personally I would choose a lip gloss over a lip crayon but I do see the appeal in lip crayons.
No.7 Nail Polish in 'So Simple' / LINK
I have bought quite a few nail polishes this month but this is by far my favourite because the colour is exactly what I have been looking for and Boots gave me a £3 voucher for cosmetics so this nail polish only costed me £3 as it was originally £6 which is such a steal and it is a beautiful colour, plus it is very long lasting.
Kryolan for Glossybox Highlighter in 'Cashmere' / LINK
I got this highlighter in my August Glossybox and before that I had never worn highlighter. I don't know how I ever lived without it, it has become an essential in my everyday make-up and this one in particular is so easy to apply and really shows. I got a highlighter in my Birchbox aswell in pencil form but I don't like that one as much, I apply the pencil in the corner of my eye which covers my tiredness up but pencil application isn't my favourite.
TV Show: Fresh Meat
As far as I know this show finished last December and I don't think there will be a new season (I hope there is but its unlikely) but I have been watching Fresh Meat almost everyday, its amazing! All the characters are perfect and everything just fits together perfectly. Watch it here in 4oD.
What have been your August favourites?
How on earth is it August? I am baffled, August is by far my favourite month because its sunny and its my birthday, I will finally turn 16! My favourites for July seem to be a smaller selection than previous months, I honestly haven't changed much in my life this month beauty/skincare wise but I still have my favourites for you all!
L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Shampoo & Conditioner / LINK
I am planning on doing a full post about this shampoo & conditioner because I adore it. I have already done a post on the fibrology hair masque (here) and that was pretty popular so these beauties will be getting their own post but to sum up why I love this shampoo & conditioner, they smell amazing, its affordable, it makes my hair thickener and most of all Blake Lively advertises the range. Do I need to say more?
The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Wash / LINK
I have never had a set skincare routine, I tend to just buy different products whenever and use them along other products but I decided I needed a skincare routine that I stick to morning and night. This face wash has been the only face wash I have used this month and it lasts so long! I have used this morning and night for over 30 days and I still have some left in the bottle but as you can see in the picture I did purchase another one. I would definitely recommend this face wash for acne prone skin and the whole tea tree range at The Body Shop, its one of my favourites, if you want a separate post about them comment below.
Malin+Goetz Lip Moisturiser / LINK
I got this as a free sample in the current issue of Elle about 2 weeks ago and I have been using it daily. It reminds me of Carmex, it doesn't smell as good but it does just as good for your lips. Its so handy if you want a quick fix for your lips because it moisturises and leaves you with shiny lips so its a two in one really. It is just an alternative to Carmex essentially but it doesn't have the smell which can be overpowering.
Liz Earle Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion / LINK
I wasn't going to include this in my favourites because I literally just did a full post on it, just scroll down to see it. I love this so much, it has become part of my skincare routine not so much daily because my eyes don't always need it but lets be honest I constantly have dark, puffy circles under my eyes so I should be using it daily but I don't want to waste it.
The Body Shop Love Etc.. Perfume / LINK
The Body Shop had loads of these perfumes in the sale for only £3! I was straight in there and I bought 2 and as I get 10% off at The Body Shop it was even more of a bargain for me. I have been carrying this around with me all day and using it most days. I have so many perfumes but this month I have definitely been favouring this one.
TV Show: Rich Kids Of Beverly Hills
I hate that I love this show, I am a totally sucker for reality shows and I watched all of season 1 in about 4 days, its addictive. Season 2 starts this week and I am beyond excited, the show is pretty ridiculous when you think about it, its just a bunch of rich people living their lives. I am in love with the lifestyle they have, I mean who doesn't want an unlimited credit card?
Those are all my favourites for this month! I didn't want to include music but you can check out my spotify here. Also go follow my friend Toni (here) as she just started a blog!
What are your July favourites?
