My weekend with a make-up artist + bloggers block

Hello, hello. Its been a while and I would like to apologise for that, I'm annoyed at myself for not getting round to posting but I have had serious bloggers block. I have been quite busy, well busier than normal so when I had time to blog my mind has just been blank which is really frustrating. My camera is also playing up really bad right now which is the worst thing that could happen to me but never the less I am really happy with life right now.

So where have I been? (I realise nobody asked, sorry). I had an amazing weekend with London Make-up Studio! I was a studio assistant for them which pretty much involved getting coffees, tidying up and helping when an extra hand was needed. I thoroughly enjoyed it, I must say. What basically happened over the course of the weekend was the company (LMS) run make-up training classes for those training to be a make-up artist or people who simply need help with make-up and it's a 3 hour class which they run 3 times a day so its a very long day! They do weekends here where I live in Liverpool and they do more in London and Manchester so if you are anywhere near them I suggest you check them out.

I assisted on Saturday & Sunday which was my first time doing any job related to make-up/assisting. On Saturday we had a make-up artist come in and two assistants (me being one of them) and it all went really well. I arrived at 8am and I was the first one there, we left around 7:30pm but it went quite fast. In each class, the make-up artist did a daytime look, an evening look and a false lash demonstration. I spent my time taking pictures of people make-up and cleaning the brushes which got tiring, believe me there was a hell of alot of brushes there. The company strictly used MAC products which was amazing because I'm not really a MAC girl when it comes to make-up so I was having fun playing with all the products and I serious need to go to MAC and buy everything now.

On the Sunday we had a different make-up artist so it was nice to see the difference in their teaching and get more make-up tips. I had such a fun time and hopefully I am assisting next month when they come back to Liverpool and I may travel to Manchester for a weekend in May. I am blogging about this because I wanted to fill you guys in and given the subject of my blog I figured you would all be interested in hearing about make-up! The day time looks they did were gorgeous, I actually don't have any images of the looks because I took them on the companies camera but you can see some on the Facebook page (here) from previous events. I am really inspired to go and up my game when it comes to day make-up because I seriously don't make the effort and some of the girls looked gorgeous after so it goes to show how good you can look when you're not rushing.

So that is where I have been! Sorry for this extremely lengthy post and congrats if you made it to the end. I am currently online shopping for more make-up products and tools because I don't have enough already. Hope you enjoyed this post! Leave some comments on what brushes you guys would recommend because I am in search of a really good brush set. I've left some pictures of some gorgeous make-up looks from the runway below for some inspiration. Bye. xx

Benefit // Roller Lash Mascara

Hello, hello. This post has been in my drafts since the beginning of March just waiting to be wrote but I just haven't got round to it. I am finally writing this post, I took these pictures on my new camera lens and I think they look a ton better than my other ones, sadly the lighting didn't turn out too well, never the less I still love them.

So if you are ready this I assume you already know about Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara. It came as a free sample in last month's ELLE magazine and then it hit the shelves. I purchased mine at John Lewis where all Benefit products had 10% off (bargain). I have to say, in all honesty, this really is the best mascara I have ever used. I have never used the infamous 'they're real' mascara from Benefit but I have used the 'bad gal lash' mascara, and a million other mascaras from Rimmel, Maybelline, No.7 etc.

I expected this mascara to be good because it was so hyped up in the beauty world and it was nearing £20. I was definitely not disappointed, I have been using this everyday since I got it and it makes my lashes look amazing and its very long-lasting. I find some mascaras lose their volume throughout the day which is really annoying when you have a long day ahead of you but this really stays. I would 100% recommend it because you don't realise how much you need this mascara until you have it in your life.

What are your thoughts on the famous Roller Lash mascara?

Love,

My Little Super Box

Its that time of the month again where my little box pops in my letterbox and I always look forward to it. This month it was My Little Super Box and it contained an array of  beauty gifts and a t-shirt that says 'I believe I can fly' which is perfectly fitting to the superwoman theme this months box is sporting. So what was inside this gorgeous box?

Superstickers & My Little World Magazine
What I love about My Little Box is that they always have non-beauty products like stickers! In previous months there have been phone cases, posters etc. I love the girlpower in this box. I also love My Little World Magazine, it genuinely is a good magazine, this month it had an interview with Paris in Four Months which is one of my favourite blogs & Instagram accounts so naturally I loved it.

On with the beauty products! The most important part of course.

Caudalie's Hand & Nail Cream | £12 for 75ml
Caudalie's best selling hand & nail cream made its way into this months My Little Box. I am a massive hand cream fan, I own too many but this smells amazing, its extremely nourishing and I tend to go for hand & nail creams over just hand creams because my nails are quite weak so this is a win-win situation for my hands!

Lips & Cheeks Pencil by My Little Beauty | £10.50
I love love love My Little Beauty and I know I say this every month but their products are so cute and fit with my skin. I have a fair few now so I might do a post on them all because nobody tends to review them but this lip & cheek pencil is a gorgeous coral colour and provides a lovely glow to the cheeks. However, its not massively hydrating which sucks but with lip balm underneath, it works like a treat.

Lait Cristal by Kerastase | £20 for 200ml
Another hair masque to add to my collection. I was delighted to see this in this months box because Kerastase is such a good brand, my hairdresser always uses this on my hair and I love how it feels. They also added an extra 20% all their products in this months box so I will be treating my hair!

I also got a t-shirt which I put in the wash so I do not have a picture of it but you can find it here. So this months box was awesome just like all the previous boxes, what did you think of My Little Super Box?

Favourite Street Style Looks // PFW

As PFW is coming to an end, I thought it would be time I share my favourite street style looks from the week gone by. Paris Fashion Week was amazing and it was definitely my favourite of the 4 but never the less, each week has been flawless.

What were your favourite looks from PFW?

love,

Street Style // Gigi Hadid

I haven't done a street style post in a while but I have certainly not stopped looking at celebrity street style looks, and I noticed Gigi Hadid is becoming the queen of street style. Her looks at NYFW were flawless and she is definitely maintaining her style. As some of my most popular posts are all about street style, I hope you all enjoy another street style post here on Magazines and Dreams!

First up is this neutral but gorgeous look from Gigi. I love that when you see celebrity street style from LA they always have sunglasses on and a winter scarf, just me? Okay. Anyway, I love this look because its alot how I dress except she looks tons better and that probably costs way more than my clothes. I love how its just block colours and them shades are to die for, I am really loving the mirrored shades right now, can the sun come and join us here in England?

Next is a very recent look that Gigi wore to a show in NYFW. I am a massive fan of this whole look, it is super cute and fits together perfectly. My favourite element of this is the red, the Desigual bag with the red sleeves on the jacket is fabulous, its not too over powering yet it still pops out. The hair and the make-up are gorgeous, I'm not too sure if she was heading to or from a fashion show but that beauty would kill on the runway.

This look is very casual and thats what I love most about it because its not too dressy, the combinations are very flattering. I love the blouse, I really need a blouse like this in my life to style like this. The cardigan is also a personal favourite because its neutral and blends with the outfit, with the addition of the trainers I kind of love it because it keeps with the casual vibe whereas heeled boots would dress this up a little.

I love this coat! It looks so warm, I feel like this is the coat equivalent to them little white fluffy dogs that you just want to cuddle all day! This outfit is gorgeous as well, I find that it is rare we see pictures of models without sunglasses on so hats off to Gigi for not over-wearing them. I love the boots, they are absolutely heavenly, if anyone knows where I can find a similar let me know in the comments!

Lastly, is this incredibly elegant outfit. Is it snowing? And she's in heels? You go girl! This outfit is so elegant and she looks like an angel. I love the jacket along with such a clean and minimalist look. I don't know how she isn't freezing to death but never the less, she looks gorgeous and them heels are heart eyes emoji (I apologise for saying that but I think that fits what I'm trying to say nicely).

What do you think of Gigi's style?

Love,
