Monthly Favourites // January

So the first month of 2016 is over but it has been an amazing month and a brilliant start to the year, what a better way to celebrate than sharing my favourites with all your beauties! I haven't done a favourites post since last June, I don't know how that happened I really slacked on the blogging front last year but not to worry 2016 will be filled with lots of posts.

I have been all over fragrances this month, I received a fair few for Christmas but my favourite scent has to be Heat by Beyonce. I am a sucker for celebrity perfumes, I have owned pretty much every one under the sun and the Beyonce perfumes are to die for.

I haven't splurged much on beauty this month but I did pick up the Rimmel Wonder'full Mascara which I found to be the perfect mascara. Its very subtle and healthy for the lashes, I have always been a big Benefit mascara user but Rimmel mascaras never fail to impress me and the selection is endless!

January was pretty much a month of me loving Soap and Glory, I mean I love Soap and Glory at the best of times but because I got so much of it for Christmas and then proceeded to buy some of it in the sale my love is at an all time high. The Heel Genius by Soap and Glory has been a must use for me this month, as someone who gets dry heels this has been a saviour and I would never have thought about buying it myself it juts so happened to be in a gift set I received.

I think I may have mentioned this specific TV show here on Magazines and Dreams in the past but I have spent my whole Christmas holidays re-watching Gossip Girl because its just the best TV show going, it never fails to impress me I could watch it endlessly. Side note: UK Netflix is getting rid of it in February so watch as much of it as you can before it goes. *sobs*

If you want to listen to what music I have been listening to this month listen to my Spotify playlists here. That is it for this months favourites! Hope you all had a great start to this year and the rest of the year is bright for you.

Lots of love, Heather x

Monthly Favourites // January

First post of February! I can't believe I haven't blogged all week, its gone so fast and I am sorry for not posting, I have been so busy with life. I have taken a ton of blog photos and today here are my monthly favourites!

Cheryl Storm Flower Perfume / LINK
I picked up a set of the Storm Flower shower gel, body lotion and the perfume because honestly this perfume smells like heaven. I smelt this when it first came out and I fell in love, I got the set for £15 from Superdrug when the January sales were on and I haven't stopped using it since, also the bottle is to die for.

Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara / LINK
I got this for Christmas off my mum and I love it! I am planning on doing a full post on this beauty which I have taken the photos for but this is the only mascara I have used this month because it does the job!

Kate Moss Rimmel London Matte Lipstick in 101 'Soft Pink' / LINK
This is the first Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick I have ever owned and I have been missing out! I am not a massive lipstick person in general because I don't think it suits me but this colour is very subtle and it didn't dry out my lips. Although it did snap on me a few weeks after I bought it but I have put it back in and it seems to be working.

Talika Photo-Hydra Day / LINK
I received this in My Little Energy Box in mid-January and its honestly one of the best moisturizers I have ever owned. I don't know what I'm going to do when it runs out! It is super hydrating and refreshing to your skin, it is designed for your skin in the morning before you leave the house and my skin loves it!

Love Tanya Book
I admit I didn't pick this up until about the 30th January so it was basically February when I got it but it is such a good book. As you all know its by Tanya Burr who is a fabulous youtuber/blogger and this book has all the essentials for make-up and skincare along with little snippets of her life which are adorable, go grab a copy!

I was going to add a music favourite but I have just been shuffling through some playlist, to see them check out my Spotify (here). What have been your January favourites?

My Little Energy Box

Hello! So I recently purchased another My Little Box, if you don't know what one is, it is essentially a beauty box like Glossybox but its better, it includes beauty products, a useful product and a magazine each month. It is more expensive and comes from Paris which is wonderful as I am all about that Parisian lifestyle. Back in October I got my first one which was My Little Parisienne Box and it was amazing, this month was no different. So what was inside?

My Little World Magazine
This is a feature they have every month that fits the certain theme of the box as this months theme was energy, it focused on workouts and interviewed a dancer, I think this was perfect because it had alot of exercise plans in there, face mask recipes and I would buy this magazine if they sold it on newstands!

2015 Calender | £10
Last year I had 4 calenders and they all had their place in my room but this year I had 3 so this calender filled the space from where my fourth calender was and its such a cute calender. Its quite small but each month has nice illustrations and puzzles throughout like Sudoku.

My Little Sports Bag | £20
As one of my new years resolutions was to get fit, I was beyond happy when I opened this. I do already have a gym bag but this one is amazing. I was struggling to get a nice picture of it but on lebeautygirl 's blog she did a post about this exact box and you can see the bag in a good light.

Nails Inc in 'Tate' | £11
Nails Inc is such an amazing brand and this colour is to die for. I love the application on Nails Inc and I don't own a shade of red like this so it is something new for my nail polish collection and I am wearing it right now!

My Little Beauty's Energising Mist | £7.50
I love this energising mist and My Little Beauty products are really good (from what I have recieved in previous boxes and read online). The products are designed in such a cute way and remind me of how Topshop products are designed. I really excited to give this a go because sometimes you do need instant refreshment.

Talika Photo-Hydra Day | £43.50 for 50ml
This is an incredible moisturiser especially if you suffer from dry skin. It gathers the actual energy from the sun and turns it into hydrating energy. It is such a good idea and my skin loves it!

My Little Energy Box was amazing this month and I can't wait to receive next months! Like it? Subscribe here.

January In Pictures

Thought each month I would do a 'in pictures' post as this encourages me to keep taking photos so this is my first one. :)

I think this concludes my 'in pictures' month as these are my favourites from this month. Follow me on instagram for more updates (link in sidebar).

Bye! Xo

Monthly Favourites | January

I feel like January lasted a life time, I hate January so much. Anyway, throughout it I did use some pretty good products. Lets begin..

-Charles Worthington Takeaway Brilliant Shine Shampoo. I literally picked this up in Superdrug because it was in the reduced part as the lid was broken. I was going to save it for when I go on holiday but I'm not going until April and there was no way I could just leave it there for 3 months so I tried it out. I had amazing results from it! My hair was so shiny and not at all greasy for days, and these two are definitely features a good shampoo needs (in my opinion). I will definitely be picking up a new one of these.

-Sanctuary Spa Body Moisture Spray. How long have they been making this product?! I absolutely adore it, I wish I had known about it in summer. I picked this up in a Sanctuary Spa gift set, which I mentioned in a someday summary back in December. To be honest, I didn't use it for a few weeks and when I came round to actually use it, I was amazed. This is the first and only body moisture spray I have used and I fell in love. So much easier than moisturiser (especially when you just cannot be bothered).

-L'Occitane Verveine Body Lotion. Another L'Occitane product mention, I just love L'Occitane (forgive me). The reason I love this body lotion more than my (many) other body lotions is because the scent in it lasts so much longer. It literally lasted over 6 hours which is the most any body lotion scent has ever lasted, for me anyway.

-L'Occitane Ceriser Aux Papillons Shower Gel. - Yet another L'occitane mention. This is has probably been my most used shower gel this month, I love the scent. Like all L'Occitane product the scent is heavenly but this scent is alot more 'me' than any other scent I have smelt by them.

-Cetaphil Moisturising Cream. - I have been loving this only recently as my skin can not handle the wind. It became so dry once I went back to school and walked to school everyday with the wind so this was pretty much a lifesaver for my skin in the weather conditions.

-New Look Blazer. - I thought I would add in each month a clothing item each month (do people do that?) I don't know, I thought it would be a nice addition. So this New Look blazer is the first blazer I have bought (aside from my school blazer) and I love what a nice touch a blazer is to your outfit. It makes me look more sophisticated, I think anyway. It was in the January sales when I bought it, I think was only about £7. P.s Please excuse the clutter in the photo for this, I didn't really know where to take a photo of it that got it all in.

Favourite..

Song(s): You Sound Good To Me - Lucy Hale LISTEN
Rather Be - Clean Bandit ft. Jess Glynne LISTEN

TV Show: Pretty Little Liars! Cannot contain how excited I am this has returned.

That is pretty much it for my January favourites, what have you been loving this month?

Bye! Xo
