Monthly Favourites // March

Finally April is almost here! The clocks have gone foward so hopefully we should get some sunshine here. Today is time for monthly favourites, so sorry not posting alot recently I honestly don't have a valid excuse. Anyway, on with March Favourites.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Cherry / LINK (currently on offer)
I know that dry shampoos have been around now for ages but I have never tried this cherry dry shampoo and it smells heavenly and although I find every batiste dry shampoo does the same exact thing no matter what scent, this is my favourite.

The Body Shop Blueberry Shower Gel / LINK
Ahh blueberries, they are the ultimate fruit in my opinion I could literally eat them forever so its no surprise that they make an absolute amazing shower gel. This was £4 from The Body Shop and it is such a nice scent and its special edition, so get it while you can!

Barry M Nail Polish 'Matt White'/ LINK
I have always been a huge fan of Barry M especially the nail polish and to be honest I hadn't bought a nail polish from Barry M for a few months so I felt like I needed to and I don't own a white nail polish, I know its not the most popular shade but it looks really good paired with coral colours and considering it was only £2.99 it stayed for a while.

Rimmel Stay Matte Concealer 'Soft Ivory'/ LINK
I mentioned the Stay Matte Foundation in my last monthly favourites and since then I have purchased the concealer from the same line, as you may have guessed I love it just as much as the foundation. Rimmel is definitely a trust-worthy brand and it never fails to impress me.

Lip Lishuss Lip Balm Cocoa Scented / LINK
I have no clue where my mum got this lip balm from and I can only seem to find a link of eBay but I love this lip balm! I have been using it religiously everyday because I do have an unhealthy obsession with lip balm, I seriously own too many. However, I have used this more than any of my others its a winner.

Youtuber: Meghanrossette / LINK
I don't intend to do a favourite youtuber every month but this month I have been so freakin' obsessed with Meghanrosette. She does the best videos that cover fashion, beauty & lifestyle. Check out here spring lookbook/ brave story here its one of my favourites.

TV Show: Brooklyn Nine-Nine
I completely love everything about this show! I am a huge TV junkie and watch so many comedy sitcoms and this is so much better than a lot of them, it is written by the same people who wrote 'Parks and Recreation' which is another show I love but Brooklyn Nine-Nine is alot better (sorry guys). Its definitely worth checking out.

What are your monthly favourites?

Seventeen // Lip Gloss Library & Swatches

Hello! This is the first time I've done a post and felt like an actual beauty blogger. To be honest, I've never considered myself a beauty blogger because I am terrible at applying make-up and I don't have the biggest make-up collection so ultimately there isn't much for me to post about. However, I have been getting into make-up so much recently in the past month I think I have bought about 8 make-up products which is alot for me so I thought I would do a post on one, hope you all enjoy :)
Ignore the bad iPhone quality

I am a huge lover of the brand Seventeen (if you don't know Seventeen is a brand the store Boots sell). The products are always so beautiful and these were no different, they are lovely shades and long lasting for a lip gloss as I find lip gloss doesn't really last that long.

Forever 21 Wishlist // Clothing

Hello everybody, sorry again for not doing a post for a few days. I am doing a wishlist post today because Forever 21 is one of my favourite shops, I first went to one a couple of years ago and the closest to me was London I think so when one opened quite near me I was so happy and I have been countless times. Its such a lovely place for everything.
Night Moves Surplice Dress   - This is a super cute dress, that I think would look effortlessly perfect on a nice summers day. Its such a plain and simple dress which is definitely something my wardrobe is lacking for the S/S season.

Stars & Stripes Denim Shorts - Ahh I just love these shorts! When I saw these shorts I instantly wanted them and it was kind of one of them times where you don't know you want something until you see it, anybody else have moments like this?

Floral Amour PJ Set - Believe it or not I do not own any short sleeve pajamas so I am in need of some short sleeve pajamas as summer is slowly (oh so slowly) approaching and I am going on holiday in a few weeks and I will need some pajamas like these. They are so pretty.

Prep School Skater Skirt w/ Belt - A skater skirt is something I think is an essential for everybody, the are so casual yet they look like you have put alot of effort in. I have one quite similar to this from New Look but the bow on it, it can't hurt to have another skater skirt , right?

Marled Maven Cardigan - Again, something else I don't own. A cardigan, I have one cardigan that I literally never wear, I think that cardigans can be the perfect addition to a nice outfit and something I definitely need to make the effort to wear more of!

The Shopaholic Tag

Photo from Tumblr.
Hello everybody, so today I am doing another tag post which is the shopaholic tag, I've watched a bunch of youtube videos on this and I thought I would do it aswell only in a blogpost. Hope you all enjoy and if you have any other tags you would like me to do just comment!

Would you consider yourself a shopaholic?
Yes, I most definitely would. I do it so much, I pretty much shop everyday to be honest, I have a giant wishlist that I am constantly adding to because of online shopping and I read peoples blogs and the wishlist gets longer which means when I have the money it goes unbelievably fast because I have so much stuff I want!

What store can you not leave without buying at least one thing?
I'm going to have to say Superdrug here. I pretty much always buy something when I go to Superdrug and 9 times out of 10 I won't need it. I am guaranteed to come out with a random bodyspray or some lipgloss, its bad habit to get into. The fact that Superdrug is very affordable does not help and they sell really nice snacks aswell so if I'm not buying any products I still end up walking out with a bottle of juice and a pack of pretzels.

Where do you find the best deals?
The Body Shop! I find amazing deals there especially at Christmas, I went crazy. When they reduce things they really reduce thing which makes it impossible to say no. They have offers like buy one get one half price which I have definitely fallen into before. The workers are so nice so I find that if they come up to me and say something like 'Oh did you know that they are 3 for 2?' I'm instantly like 'Okay, I'll buy more.' When in the first place I won't even need one, anybody relate? No? Just me? Ok..

What designer are you willing to spurge for?
Pretty much any bag. When it comes to clothes I kind of have a limit, I'll consider when buying clothes and think of when I'l wear them but with bags I completely ignore the price tag. I adore Radley bags and in the future I can see myself buying many, many bags.

Do you have a go-to shopping outfit?
If I know I will be spending the whole day walking around shops and carrying bags I tend to just got for a casual look. I think a skater dress is something I wear alot when I go shopping because they are soooo comfy and comfort is just a must especially when you are shopping. They are also easy to get on and off if you are trying clothes on in fitting rooms or whatever.

What is your guilty pleasure? (not including make-up).
Definitely necklaces. I used to be obsessed with necklaces and wear them all the time, I would buy one every time I went shopping. I'm not as bad as I used to be but if I end up anywhere near the jewellery section, you will find it hard to get me away. Forever 21 is the worst for this because when Forever 21 first opened here, I went for the first time and left with about 4 necklaces.

What is one staple clothing piece you could not live without?
Dresses. Definitely dresses. They are perfection, I mean they are so simple and on days when I can't be bothered I just put on a nice dress and it looks like I've made such an effort.  I don't think I could live without dresses they are just my go-to thing.

What is a trend you hope never goes out of style?
Wearing scarves in the summer. I'm not 100% sure if this is an actual 'trend' but people seem to do it alot in the summer and I love it. A vest top, denim shorts and some converse with a nice thin scarf is just the perfect summer outfit. Its so comfy and casual, I hope that never stops.

What trend do you love that passed way too quickly?
I think the whole hype around neon passed quite quickly. I feel like everybody was obsessing over neon for about a week and then bam it was over. I didn't own a huge amount of neon things but I did own a few and I feel like I never got alot of wear out of them.

Who is your fashion idol?
Kendall Jenner is the ultimate fashion idol for me. She has the perfect outfits and is so on point and on trend, its unreal.

Street Style | Jessica Alba

I was reading in a magazine a few months ago that Jessica Alba had the 'best street style ever' and it had never really occurred to me that she is even known for street style. Anyway, I looked at some of her street style and she does have really good street style and as my street style posts are on my 'popular posts' I thought I would do another one because I love writing them and clearly people like reading them.
Heels and jeans? Perfect match in my mind. This look is absolutely working. I love the casual top and jeans matched with a Louis Vuitton bag and heels to add a touch of glamour to the outfit. I think wearing heels and skinny jeans is perfection because they make you look thinner and they are the perfect contrast between casual and dressing your outfit up. This is a good example of it.
I think this look is my favourite of them all because of the scarf. This outfit just seems so stylish. Again, jeans are a good choice paired with a tank top. The scarf though is just beautiful, the colour just pops out against the black tank top and the lack of colour in the rest of the outfit helps as well. I love love love the cowboy boots and the shades they are the perfect additions.

I am not the biggest lover of flowery clothes at all to be honest. However, I think they really fit in with this look because of the colour of the flowers. The aqua blue is one or two shades lighter than the top and because the blazer is darker the top colour isn't as harsh on the eyes. The top and pants to fit, if the flowers on the pants were pink it wouldn't work if you ask me. The white shoes aswell fit right in and I love how shes styled quite light colours under a dark colour to lower the tone abit.
Such a weird mix of choices here. The top to me seems summery and happy whereas the jeans and boots seem a bit grunge with the rip in and the dark colours so pairing them together is really strange to me. This look does fit together weirdly though, its just looks good and I can't seem to find a reason why. It shouldn't work but it does.

So I hope you enjoyed this post. I noticed I got alot of views on the Pretty Little Liars tag post, what other tags would you like me to do? :0

Leave-in Conditioners | Aussie vs Pure Coconut

Leave-in conditioners have always been something I've never seen the point in because you conditioner in the shower so why do you need to use one after the shower? But these leave-in conditioners proved me wrong. My mum bought me the Aussie 'Miracle Hair Insurance' and I bought the Pure Coconut 'Leave-in Conditioner' thinking it was just heat protecting spray (I was tired, forgive me). Anyway, they have both opened my eyes to how amazing leave-in conditioner actually is. They work really well for tangled hair, which is a MAJOR issue for me especially when I've just washed my hair. So today I am just going to a post of which of these leave-in conditioners I think is best for what reason because they super affordable and really effective.

Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance
First off, this smells amazing. Of course it would, its Aussie for crying out loud. Anyway, this is a leave-in conditioner that you can use on wet or dry hair and protects your hair, detangles it and leaves it smelling lush. All these are a selling point for it. It makes styling easier which I can definitely agree with because if you are doing a different hair style or straightening/curling it, this makes it easier. It made it a hell of alot easier to curl my hair with this because my hair is impossible to curl. It is a 'saviour for weak, distressed hair' which I can't agree with because I find my hair quite weak and this hasn't made many improvements. Overall though, its an amazing conditioner spray.
Pure Coconut Leave-In Conditioner
Again this smells amazing, not as amazing as Aussie but that's a hard competitor for scent. Like I previously said, I bought this thinking it was just a heat protect spray not a leave-in conditioner. I have no idea how somebody makes that mistake when the bottle clearly states 'leave-in conditioner'. Anyway, so that fact this is heat protect is a big bonus and the main reason I bought it. This also works as a detangler, and it really does work as a detangler its probably the best detangling solution I have found. You can only use this on damp hair which is disappointing because I prefer to use leave-in conditioner when my hair is dry. Overall, heavenly scent, beautiful results.

Make what you will on my reviews but my favourite of these two has to be the Aussie. I am a huge Aussie fan anyway and this is more suited to my hair and what I do.

What leave-in conditioners do you guys use?

Pros and Cons of Having a Cat as a Pet

Hello everybody for those of you who don't know, I have 3 cats; 2 female and one male. I have always adored cats and when I was younger, for a small time, I actually thought I was a cat. Anyway today will be a post on the pros and cons of having a cat because I just thought I'd post something a little different on my blog today, enjoy!

Pros:
-They are adorable. - This is pretty much a given fact even and definitely a pro. Sometimes I'll be in bed and my cat will come and lie right next to me (literally on my pillow) and start purring, it so nice. They are so fluffy and I find a cats purr really relaxing, probably because I've fallen asleep listening to a purr for years.

-They are easy to care for. - They are really easy animals to look after, granted they are not the easiest but still pretty easy. You pretty much have to feed them, stroke them and let them in and out the house when they want (unless you have an indoor cat of course). I am aware vet bills may be an issue for some people but in our house we've literally paid one vet bill between 4 cats, I guess we are lucky.

-They keep other cats out the garden. - Have any of you had an issue where a cat keeps doing their business in your garden? Our neighbors face this issue whereas because we have 3 cats to fight them off, we never face this issue.

Cons:

-Many people are allergic. - I'm sure you have met someone in your life who is allergic to cats or just the cat fur anyway, I have met about 10 people who are. Some people may not like visiting your house/room because you have cats there.

-They shed. - A.k.a malting, my cats shed fur like there is no tomorrow, literally all year round aswell, its not just in certain seasons. My quilt cover end up covered in cat fur sometimes, I put a blanket down but when I'm not there my cats tend to sit as far away from the blanket as they can.

-They are users. - Cats can be affectionate for no reason at all but alot of the time they want something. For example, if a cat wants you to refill their bowl with biscuits they will roll over, nuzzle your leg and purr then once they get it they will simply just ignore you.

So I hope you enjoyed this post, its something different for you guys :)

Pretty Little Liars Tag.

Hello everybody! I read on A Yellow Brick Blog (LINK) a couple of days ago the 'Pretty Little Liars Tag' and I was really happy I discovered it because I am a huge Pretty Little Liars fan so I was eager to do a post on it and I am have now got round to writing it, I'm so excited to do this post. :)

1) Katie: Alison made her return to rosewood in her statement red coat. What is your wardrobe statement piece?
I would have to say my statement piece is definitely jeans, they are my go-to for any event. I try to dress them up or wear them casual and if I was, like Alison, missing then I would love for someone to see a pair of skinny jeans and think of me.

2) Kirstie: If you could raid anyone's wardrobe who's would it be?
Definitely Aria! Her style is always on point. Her style is the most unique out of the liars and alot of things she wears I would never even think of wearing together but then when she wears them they look perfect. I think shes definitely an example of how you should always put an outfit on than just look at it because you never know. The quote from Ella to Aria in the show: 'Wait, why am I asking you? You wear forks as earrings.' pretty much sums up Arias style, not in a bad way, I love that quote.

3) Rebecca: Which cast member would you go to if you had a problem?
I would have to say Hanna because she is the most like me so I think if I had a problem she would probably be able to understand it more than the others.

4) Estelle: Which character's personality do you think you most relate to?
Hanna! I have been told by my friends I remind them of her (make of that what you will) and I found that a huge compliment, shes my favourite. She has a loving side but when it comes to down to it can definitely be a badass, I try to be like that.

5) Gem: Which of the character's makeup would you most like to wear?
Again, Hanna. Sorry I keep using her as an answer but I love her. Anyway, her make-up is so feminine and she really works to match it to her blonde hair.

6) Tanyia: Which of the cast would you feel safest with when stuck in an A situation?
Out of all the liars of course it would be Spencer. As she is the one who is always on the ball when it comes to A, I feel she would be able to know what A was up to or at least have a good idea of it which would give me reassurance if I was scared.

Do you guys watch Pretty Little Liars? If not you need to!

Bye! Xo

Oscars 2014 | Fashion

Hello, long time, no post. I wish I knew what I've been doing because I feel like the last few days have been so unproductive for me but that NEEDS to change. Anyway, so today is a fashion post from the Oscars, did you all watch it? It was amazing! The fashion, as always, was amazing. Side note: outfits on this post will be from the Oscars and the after party, enjoy. :)

Dior
Jennifer Lawrence the queen of Dior looked stunning at the Oscars. I am absolutely in love with this dress, the colour is really complimenting her hair colour, if that makes sense. I love how its not strapless because she really doesn't need straps with them boobs, am I right? The hair is amazing aswell, which means you can see the beautiful necklace, which by the way she is wearing backwards and its totally working.
Versace
I realise Kate Hudson was quite a random addition to this post but I saw her on the Harper's Bazaar website and I was in love. I love the V cut on this dress, its probably my favourite look for dresses more people should be really sport V cuts more often. Anyway, the colour is phenomenal especially with the blonde hair and the matching bag (I think anyway), its just to die for.
Prada
Lupita Nyong'o was definitely one of the highlights of this years Oscars. Although I haven't seen 12 Years A Slave (The film she won the Oscar for) I still loved her speech. The dress though was amazing, it was personally made for her and its really working. I loved her dress at tne Golden Globes aswell, she has just been on point with fashion. Another V cut aswell, love love love it! The colour is my personal favourite feature to this dress its so beautiful.
Saint Laurent
Margot Robbie is so beautiful and she debuted her dark hair and gothic look at this years Oscars and I adore it. The dress is so simple yet perfect. The bow is the best in my opinion, I love bows but even if I didn't I don't think theres any denying that, that bow is working for her. The hair and make-up is also really really nice because its darker make-up and hair just like the dress.
Lastly, Taylor Swift. This is from the Vanity Fair after party but I wanted to include it. I am a huge fan of Taylor Swift and her fashion choices are usually amazing and this is no different. A long, black, sequined dress with her figure? You can't go wrong really. She looked amazing and I love her new short hair, shes beautiful.

Did you guys enjoy the Oscars?

Monthly Favourites | February

Happy March everyone, hope you all had an amazing February! Today is my February favourites post, I hope to do these every month because they are my favourite posts to read and write.

-VO5 'Plump It Up' Shampoo & Conditioner - I mentioned these in a haul post when I first got them. I have fallen in love with them since then. They are the ultimate shampoo & conditioner for my hair, I have had so much more volume in my hair, they also provide heat protection which is an essential for me as I straighten my hair all the time.

-Pure Coconut Leave-In Conditioner - Leave-in conditioner has never been something I've ever really used but oh my god I was missing out BIG TIME. I love love love this leave-in conditioner, it smells heavenly and my hair is so much softer after using it. I usually use it after I was my hair when its still damp then comb it through and I can most definitely tell the difference. I would highly recommend a leave-in conditioner, Aussie do a pretty nice one aswell.

-Clean&Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser - So I have previously mentioned on my blog how I love the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser but I found it was too thick for my skin, if that makes sense, so I have found a new cleanser and I am on the second bottle. I love this, I was just on the look for a new cleanser it was just an impulse buy really and I love love love it so much. You apply it with cotton wool so its doesn't need an water which I thought was really cool. I can honestly say, I have my minimal blackheads now.

-Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation - As someone who reads a hell of alot of beauty blogs, this is actually the first foundation I've ever owned. I used to use BB cream, never foundation because I always thought they would be too oily but eventually I just wanted foundation because I needed better coverage, this foundation is actually really good. I have had less breakouts and my skin doesn't feel oily at all. I have no other foundation to compare it but my skin looks a hell of alot better with it on, which is the point, right?

-TV Show - I have been watching alot of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, did you guys see the proposal episode? So cute.

-Music - I have been listening to the Arctic Monkeys so much this month, I know I am abit late on the bandwagon with this but they are seriously so addicting.

What are your February favourites?

Bye! Xo
