rimmel
Firstly I bought the Rimmel Brow This Way Styling Gel in clear and this has become such an essential in my everyday make-up routine, I honestly don't know how I lived without it. My eyebrows can get a bit crazy when I haven't had them waxed in a while and this gel is such a saviour for around them times. I just had my eyebrows done about 3 days ago and they are quite thin but this gel is still essential because it just keeps them in place and it weirdly smells amazing, plus its only £3.99 which is a bargain. Down side is its quite small and it gets dirty quite quick.
Next up is the Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in dark brown. This is also a repurchase as I first bought this is May as mentioned in this haul. The pencil has not ran out but the brush is ruined completely and I needed a new pencil as I had previously bought the wrong shade but you can pass it off if you blended it with some eyeshadow. This pencil is the only eyebrow pencil I have ever used and I love it! It works perfectly for me so I don't feel the need to buy any other eyebrow pencils because this one is affordable and does the job really well.
Lastly is the Rimmel Brow This Way Eyebrow Kit. I am super excited to have this because I have just been filling my eyebrows in with a pencil and some eyeshadow (and doing a terrible job may I add) but this kit comes with proper brow tools to define your brows and make them look smooth. I love this so much, it fills my eyebrows in gorgeously and doing that it really defines my whole face which is a bonus. I am so happy I got this because my brows look better than ever with them.
That concludes my post on brows! What eyebrow products are your favourites? I still need to try the Benefit Gimmebrow but not sure if its worth the money.
I picked this up because I needed a new mascara as I had had mine for about 6 months and it was getting all disgusting, I saw this mascara for £4.99 so I thought I would give it ago. This mascara is amazing for its price and it does the job, it extends my lashes as you can see. What I hate about this mascara is how it can come out quite thick leaving some lashes with a load of mascara on and others without. It doesn't always separate your lashes that well but I find that with most mascaras.
I would definitely re-purchase this mascara because its handy to have in your bag or take on holiday with you because it makes your lashes look natural yet beautiful. Not to mention its super affordable and does the job! I am currently wanting a Lancome mascara, hoping to pick it up in the January sales! What mascara do you guys use?
Eyebrows. I find eyebrows the hardest things to handle when it comes to make-up and I honestly never usually bother with them, I brush them abit and fill them in with pencil but that's about it. I find my eyebrows get messed up easily and I have been lusting after the Benefit 'gimmebrow' for a while but never been willing to spend that much on something purely for eyebrows. I saw that Rimmel introduced 'Brow This Way' Styling Gel which looks like a total dupe for the gimmebrow so I had to try it.
Like I previously said, I never actually bought gimmebrow so I am not comparing them in any way as I have not tried it. I was looking at the shades for this product and honestly the range of shades is really limited. I opted for the clear gel as opposed to a colour because I was really unsure what to get. I usually brush my eyebrows out then fill them in with pencil and wait a minute then brush this through my brows. It has made a world of difference for my brows, they stay put for so long! I picked this up for £2.99 (it had £1 off) so it was such an unbelievable price for it which is always the case for Rimmel products.
This makes your eyebrows feel so refreshed, if eyebrows can actually be refreshed and they really add abit of highlight to the brow area which is a total bonus. It's such an easy application, I'm not sure how long this will last me as I will probably end up using it on a day to day basis but it is a complete steal at £3.99. I reckon it will probably need replacing every month or so as it will probably gather bacteria but I have no idea this is the first brow gel I have ever used so if you have any tips/advice leave me a comment!
Have you guys tried this product, what did you think?
Hello everybody! I feel like I haven't posted in forever when it honestly hasn't been that long. Anyway, today is a Rimmel post (surprise) and the stay matte collection is very popular judging by beauty bloggers on the web so I am joining the hype with my review on the products.
Lets start with the Stay Matte Pressed Powder. This product is so hyped, so I thought I would give it a try. I can't say its the best product I've ever used but as far as pressed powders go, it does the job. As my skin is quite oily, when I wear certain foundations my skin can look extremely oily and this powder really calms it down when that happens. It is not long lasting and doesn't not give full coverage which is kind of off putting for me, because I hate reapplying make-up throughout the day and sometimes my skin gets too shiny and I have to reapply the powder after I have already applied it. The coverage isn't a massive struggle for me because I don't wear it for the coverage, it has some coverage but not full coverage. Overall, I would use this product again because it works but I think you can maybe find a better pressed powder out there. However, this is quite cheap in comparison to the other pressed powders in the make-up market so you do get your moneys worth.
Moving on to the Stay Matte Foundation. This was one of the first ever foundations I used and when I used it I was just in love with it because I had virtually nothing to compare it to so I thought it was the best foundation going. I wasn't completely wrong when I came to this conclusion because it does give really good coverage and lasts quite a while but its not the best. Like I previously said, I have oily skin and I found this was too dry even for me. It gave me a powdery look and I thought I was applying it wrong and people on forums came out with 'you need to apply with your fingers' then others said 'you need to apply it with a brush' and I tried both methods and their was little difference (I found it looked better if you applied it with fingers). I wouldn't recommend this foundation to be completely honest, I am currently obsessed with the 'Wake Me Up' foundation by Rimmel.
Finally, Stay Matte Concealer. I have tried many concealers and I think this is one of my favourites. If you read one of previous posts, I think it was the haul one, I mentioned that my Stay Matter concealer actually snapped on me. This may have been my fault as I am very heavy handed even if I don't realize it so I'm not going to blame the product. This concealer promises not to clog pores which I found to be true and it has a green circle in the middle that helps blemishes and I didn't break out any more or any less when using this product, so its a win-win there. It is also really affordable but sadly it only comes in 4 shade, luckily I found a shade that is near enough my shade but for some people it may not be the case. If your skin tone fits this product, I would 110% recommend this concealer!
Do you guys like the Stay Matte products from Rimmel?
Bye! Xo
