Hello, hello. Sorry for not posting in a while, I feel like every couple of months I make a post about apologising for lack of posting but I do need to get on top of my posts. Anyway, I thought I would do a quick post about what's going on in my life right now, partly because I just want to write it for myself as I am happy and excited and partly because I want to share my life with you guys!
As you may (or may not) know I do study photography in college at the moment but I really am not enjoying it because I don't have the passion for photography that I did this time last year when I chose to do it so I have been looking for other options and I did a hell of a lot of research on jobs and what to study etc. I was scared of doing something again and changing my mind AGAIN but I decided I would really like to be a fashion buyer and work in the retail side of fashion.
After looking into a lot of options I decided to go for an apprenticeship. I'm not to sure if this is a global thing that people have the option to do but here in the UK an apprenticeship is a career path you can take after year 11 (aged 16) to go straight into a job of your choice while studying on the side which is funded by the government. It is a fantastic programme that they offer and I'm sure many people are grateful for it, I looked around and got rejected by a few but then I got an interview for Next!
I had my interview on Monday and I got it!!! So long story short, I will be starting a full time job in 2 weeks in the sector I want while working towards my goal of a fashion buyer. Some people look down on apprenticeships because its an option a lot of people take when they fail all of their GCSE's but I passed all of my 10 GCSE's so its not always true. I will be getting paid more than I do now, working more which means saving more money, buying more things which will lead to me travelling and shopping (my two favourite hobbies).
On another note, I am really happy I posted my first OOTD and I know I don't post a great deal of photos of myself here on Magazines and Dreams so this may not make a massive difference but I actually dyed my hair brown over the weekend which was a big deal for me because I've always been a blondie so I wasn't sure how I would look or if I would like it but I am in love with it so I will be posting some more OOTD posts and maybe some FOTD posts if I have the confidence for that.
That is the end of my little life update! Congrats on making it to the end and I look forward to sharing the rest of my journeys with you guys. x

Hello! Today I am talking about the Tangle Teezer which is a hairbrush made solely to de-tangle your hair. This hairbrush has been a savior to my hair because my hair gets incredibly tatty when I get out the shower except when I use a hair masque but as I only use a hair masque once or twice a week the other times this tangle teezer has been a life saver.
I'm not entirely sure who this works but it has become an essential in my hair care routine. It was an impulse buy because I had a £20 Amazon gift voucher and I wanted to treat myself so I got a book and this beauty. I have heard so many people rave about this product so I needed to try it. It honestly works, its incredible.
I used it after I had just washed my hair and like I previously said my hair gets very tangled after I have washed it so I was so excited to try this. I normally do use a detangling spray from Aussie which makes my hair less tangled but not 100% detangled but this tangle teezer gets rid of every tangle my hair has and it's amazing. I don't know how I survived without this because without it my hair takes forever to untangle but I guess I just got used to it.
There are other products similar to this like the wet brush which I haven't yet tried but I would love to give them a try and see which is the best product for detangling hair. Have you used the Tangle Teezer or anything similar?
Leave-in conditioners are a must for my hair so I am always on the look out to try a new one. I got the Number 4 Lumiere d'hiver Super Comb Prep & Protect from my Birchbox last month and I spoke out it briefly in my Birchbox post but at the time I hadn't really used it so I am here with a full post on it, after using it several times.
Although I have had this product for almost a month now, it feels like I just bought it because I have only started using it in these past 2 weeks as I forgot I had it (oops). I am always changing my hair routine to be honest so although I normally use an Aussie leave-in conditioner, it wasn't a massive deal switching to this leave-in conditioner for a while. Now, I use Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance and have done for about 6 months now for leave-in conditioner as its wonderful and I have used so many leave-in conditioners in the past so I have many products to compare this to. I have to say, I am loving this leave-in conditioner. I didn't want to like it because it is quite expensive for a leave-in conditioner so when this runs out, my bank balance will take a hit but I would say it is worth it.
Why is this so fabulous? Well, it truly does untangle my hair which is a major issue I face especially when I have just gotten out the shower, it has built in colour protection which is a massive bonus and strengthens hair which is never a bad thing. Over the past few months, my hair has improved alot as I have been taking care of it more and this product fits in perfectly. It is amazing and I love it, you will love it, buy it. Now. One thing I don't love about it is the smell, but after using Aussie for so long you can see where I am coming from!

Hair masques are a definite essential in my hair care routine, my hair has been extremely damaged in the past and I truly believe hair masques have played a big part in repairing my hair. I am a big lover of the L'Oreal hair masques and they are the only hair masques I have used but I picked up this Macadamia Deep Repair Masque as it had great reviews. I was very hesitant to buy it because it is fairly expensive for a hair masque as I usually get ones for £5. I got this for £14.99 which is lower than the retail price and it is definitely worth the money.
I purchased the 250ml one which is fairly big and I definitely had high expectations for this. You are advised to use it twice a week for best results and leave in your hair for up to 7 minutes. I tend to wash my hair about 3 or 4 times a week so half the time I use this masque, I leave it in for about 5 minutes as I get inpatient but I don't think it makes a massive difference as 5 minutes is quite a long time anyway.
After using this mask about 4 times I have to say it really does make a difference. After one wash I noticed a difference, it adds shine to your hair but what I noticed the most was the bounce and volume it gave my hair, I was so happy! This is by far the best hair masque I have used, I still love the L'Oreal ones as they are more affordable and do add shine but this is a clear winner. Although it is quite expensive, it will last you a long time and it is worth the money. I feel bad for depriving my hair of this goodness for so long!

The smoothly does it serum has become and essential in my hair routine now. Back in 2012 I religiously used serum after washing my hair, this was when I was washing my hair everyday and using far too much serum (I didn't know anything about hair back then). I thought serum was doing more damage to my hair than good which in all fairness it probably was because I was using far too much but I was reading alot of hair routine blogposts and they all included serums so I thought I would pick one up and VO5 has never disappointed me. The serum is amazing! My hair is noticeably smoother, you only need the tiniest bit for your hair and it does the job. I hope this lasts me along time, its such a bargain aswell.
Cherish my colour is actually a range of VO5 products I have never tried. This full boded spray is my first purchase from the range and it is certainly a good place to start. This also has heat protect, like most of the VO5 hair products, it smells amazing. I have a full head of highlights so keeping them looking fresh is vital and this helps along side colour protect shampoo.
I love VO5, after L'Oreal it is probably my favourite hair brand. I also love the plump it up shampoo for when my hair lack volume, what VO5 products do you use?
